Cinnamon Chip Chocolate Cookies

This Cinnamon Chip Chocolate Cookies recipe has been swirling around my mind for a couple weeks now and after working on it a couple times, I’m sure I’ve got the perfect fall/winter cookie for you!

As far as I can remember, there have always been cookies at home- chocolate chip especially. Or m&m cookies. I don’t think there are many children who don’t enjoy  cookies!

This Cinnamon Chip Chocolate Cookie is thick, it's chewy and it's got the perfect balance of sweet and spice- perfect for cold evenings under warm blankets with mugs of hot cocoa or coffee and a good flick or binge worthy show.

Date & Nuts Baklava

I feel like I’m losing my voice. Not literally. Just what makes me, well, me.

Or maybe I’ve just let too many outside voices in. If that makes any sense.

I think I just need some stimulating company with some conversation that makes you ponder about..everything.

See? HELP!

Life has been so crazy recently, filled with unexpected curveballs poppin’ up outta no where paired with the constant back and forth between the different cities has left me with not much of a routine. No routine means a lot of time wasted for me! Especially if I’ve got some good romance novels nearby!

Beautifully golden pastry covered in a cinnamon honey syrup encasing a decadent filling of almonds and hazelnuts and a smooth date spread. Continue reading “Date & Nuts Baklava”

Manakeesh bil Za’atar (Za’atar Flatbread/Manoushe)

I realise it’s been a minute since I last posted so I’m bringing you my second most favorite Middle Eastern treat to make up for it: Manakeesh bil Za’atar or Flatbread with Za’atar! It’s also called Man’oushe.

Flatbread with Za'atar is soft & golden, the tantalising scent of za'atar herby & seductive. It's flavorful, fresh & gives you that perfect zing of herbs paired with olive oil.

Blueberry Almond Pie

Hello my fabulous foodies! Today’s recipe is a dreamy Blueberry Almond Pie but before we get into that..

Don’t you just love surprises?

I know I do! I might love guessing them as much as being completely taken by surprise, which makes it really difficult for my husband to actually surprise me. Not that I feel entirely too bad about it ’cause that just gives him a challenge to be more creative! (Just kidding!)

He has, however, gotten really good at them- caught me by surprise twice this year- which really is something!

I am at the moment sitting far, far from home because of his second surprise and totally loving it!

Which brings me to the beautiful blueberry pie recipe I wanna share with you guys- it perfectly suits the crisp weather and beautiful Swiss city I’m falling in love with!

A sweet berrylicious treat wrapped up in a flaky pastry that's even better than anything you could pick up at a bakery since you've made it from scratch at home!

Spiced Chocolate Milkshake

It’s hot and the air is heavy with rain that won’t fall. When I pulled back the curtains a couple mornings ago, I was super excited as the sky was gloomy and it looked just about ready to pour. We all anticipated it, but it didn’t rain that day. It was just hot and heavy and my long list of blog prep just flew outta my head and I was not able to grasp a single thing that day and wasted it away flipping through recipes and saying, ‘Oh, I could make this, or this, or this!’

Suffice to say I didn’t make either this, this or this and instead settled on accepting the fact that the day was lost. There’s nothing I hate more then a day wasted. Seriously. Whether I’m the one who’s lost track of time or someone has messed up already set plans, a wasted day just rubs me the wrong way. (That kinda rhymes doesn’t it?) Honey Coconut Granola with Sliced Almonds

Hey, all!

This is Little Miracles’ 50th post! And in keeping with this year’s healthy resolution, this granola is perfectly apt to celebrate!

How was your weekend?

It barely felt like a weekend for me. It’s hard to relax when you’ve pushed yourself to an edge back to back through a busy week. I pretty much crashed every night to wake up exhausted the next morning. Finally got me some good sleep last night!

My week was long, exhausting and at the same time extremely short. Contradicting, I know, but it was the second wedding of the month and it was huge. About 8 events over the span of 5 days and since hubby and I were representing both the bride (my cousin) and groom’s (best friend’s brother) side, we were absolutely and thoroughly exhausted yesterday when it all came to an end!

I’d love nothing more then to spend a couple days by the beach, with very little phone service and the least amount of people required to detox. As much fun as weddings are, made even better with seeing friends everyday, you really need to get away and detox sometimes. Just so you can hear yourself think.
