I think I just need some stimulating company with some conversation that makes you ponder about..everything.
Life has been so crazy recently, filled with unexpected curveballs poppin’ up outta no where paired with the constant back and forth between the different cities has left me with not much of a routine. No routine means a lot of time wasted for me! Especially if I’ve got some good romance novels nearby!
I realise it’s been a minute since I last posted so I’m bringing you my second most favorite Middle Eastern treat to make up for it: Manakeesh bil Za’atar or Flatbread with Za’atar! It’s also called Man’oushe.
Happy World Pasta Day! I’ve got a beautiful, flavor packed pasta that’s got my Roasted Red Pepper Pesto singing delightful notes of its sweet smokiness paired with fresh cherry tomatoes, chilli garlic mushrooms and fresh basil just waiting to transport your taste buds into pasta filled heaven. Today was one of those walking leisurely hand-in-hand kinda days, ending with a good hour spent at a bookstore, so I’d say the best way to end it would be with some delicious pasta and a romantic setting.
Since I’m going to have to forego making this flavorful pasta for hubs and me since we’re still out of town, I’m going to ask you to put it together for us.

Don’t you just love surprises?
I know I do! I might love guessing them as much as being completely taken by surprise, which makes it really difficult for my husband to actually surprise me. Not that I feel entirely too bad about it ’cause that just gives him a challenge to be more creative! (Just kidding!)
He has, however, gotten really good at them- caught me by surprise twice this year- which really is something!
I am at the moment sitting far, far from home because of his second surprise and totally loving it!

It’s hot and the air is heavy with rain that won’t fall. When I pulled back the curtains a couple mornings ago, I was super excited as the sky was gloomy and it looked just about ready to pour. We all anticipated it, but it didn’t rain that day. It was just hot and heavy and my long list of blog prep just flew outta my head and I was not able to grasp a single thing that day and wasted it away flipping through recipes and saying, ‘Oh, I could make this, or this, or this!’
Suffice to say I didn’t make either this, this or this and instead settled on accepting the fact that the day was lost. There’s nothing I hate more then a day wasted. Seriously.
